Wonderful hotel

We surprised our friends for a weekend in Bath and both they and us loved it.

Lovely welcome from the fabulous Casey, explaining everything and showing us to our rooms, which were the four poster rooms, wonderfully furnished and very clean.

The bar area is cosy, with a lovely fire. Breakfast was great too.

A 10 minute walk from Bath city centre but actually nice to be away from the hustle and bustle.

Thoroughly recommend.

Excellent from the moment we arrived until the time we left.

On arrival we were met by Rachel who gave us a very warm welcome, and then duly shown to our room which was simply beautiful. Oldfield’s has a real period charm everywhere you look…magical!

The breakfast was outstanding with plenty to choose from, the full English is highly recommended. Cleanliness was top notch throughout the B&B.

ALL of the staff were very professional and attentive.

The city centre was only a 10mins walk away, which for us, was very easy to do.
Oldfield’s will be definitely our first choice when we return to Bath next year.

Nice guesthouse

My friend and I visited my daughter who is a student at the university and I booked 2 single en-suite rooms.

The guesthouse is a 5 minute taxi ride from the station or a 10/15 minute walk (uphill but not too strenuous). We walked into the city centre each day and there were plenty of buses whizzing by.

The single rooms were a good size, nicely decorated and the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were small and functional. The rooms were on the top floor which might be hard to reach for those with limited mobility as the stairs are quite steep.

All the staff were very friendly and the breakfasts are excellent-the full English was delicious! We also made use of the bar and sitting room when my daughter came over to visit.

This is a lovely small hotel/ guesthouse and it’s good value for money.

Delightful place to stay!

We wasn’t too sure what to expect, but was delighted when we got there!

Staff were welcoming, room was lovely and very clean.

Breakfast was wonderful too, plenty of choice and freshly cooked.

Yes, there is a bit of an uphill hike to get there from the town, takes about 10minutes but plenty of buses passed us, so I’m sure catching a bus up the hill wouldn’t be a problem.

We wouldn’t think twice about booking again!
